Hello there! 👋🏾 I'm Tapas, and by profession I work in HR specializing in talent attraction and development. When I'm not working (or destroying my nephew in Mario Kart), my writing focuses on the connections between humans, the technology we use, and the environment that sorrounds us (with plenty of digressions along the way). I recognize that the lands and waters of where I live are part of the ancestral and unceded territories of the Anishinabewaki, Wendake-Nionwentsïo, Ho-de-no-sau-nee-ga (Haudenosaunee), and Mississauga peoples, including the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. As an immigrant and person of color, my relationship to Canada is one of gratitude and responsibility—to care for these spaces, to commit to actions that nurture rather than take, and to belong and participate here in a way that honours those who have loved this land long before me.
